What’s New At KICS

Unique and Important

Jeremiah 1:5a Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;

Children are unique and important; each with their special gifts and abilities. One way to celebrate each child’s life is by remembering the day of their birth. Birthdays are not often celebrated in Papua New Guinea. But at KICS we hope to make each child’s birthday a special reminder of God’s love for them and the their importance to us, their family and their community. This past week we celebrated a special student. We look forward to all the future birthdays of our staff and students, and the opportunity to show them how much we care.

PNG Celebrates 50 years

On September 16th, 2025, PNG will celebrate 50 years of independence. There is much to celebrate. It seems like the right time to add to the joyful celebrations and officially launch Keram International Christian School. We hope it will be a memorable day for all, reflecting on the blessings we have enjoyed living here in PNG and looking forward to making the future even better and brighter. We are so thankful to live and work in a free country—one that strives to be a Christian nation. A country that encourages schools to teach from the Bible and set aside time for prayer and worship in the classroom. We look forward to helping PNG progress and develop by providing Christian education to the children of Keram LLG. We know that children who place Christ first in their lives will be eager to contribute to the development of their families, communities, and their country. Join us September 16th at 9:00 AM at the Samban Centre Grounds for more information about intake for the 2026 school year and how you can support the work of KICS.

ACE Training Comes to Samban

We want to thank Mrs. Kundi for her time and efforts to travel with us all the way from Mt. Hagen to Samban Village in the East Sepik Province to run this week long course. It has been a tough week for those attending. Many of our participants attending as community and church representatives have been out of school for many years and the course work was extensive and the memory passages quite long. However each one has been faithful to come at 8AM and depart at 5PM often taking homework with the to complete in the evening. We have learned so much and still have a very long road to travel. We pray God will bless our efforts as we work hard to learn how to best serve the children here in the local area by brining them a school that honors Him and teaches Biblical principles.
