Staff

Hubert Yangum is our head teacher specializing in grades 1-3. Hubert and his wife Asunta are from Painiten village and have two children Jemelyn and Shane. They have taken on leadership roles in the the local church and schools.

Hubert starting teaching in 2008 with Samban Central Elementary School. In 2013 Hubert completed his certificate training in Elementary Education through PNGEI in Port Moresby. Completing his Matriculation Studies in 2019 Hubert became the first gradate of Ap Ma FODE RSC. In 2021 Hubert also completed a diploma in Jr. Primary Teaching from PNGEI. In July of 2025 he will join all our staff as we participate in ACE teacher training for the new curriculum at Keram International Christian School.


Rose Wapan will be supervising our grade 4-6 students. She and her husband John are from Laten village. They are faithful members of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church. They have five children, three girls and two boys.

Rose completed her matriculation studies program at Ap Ma FODE RSC becoming their second graduate in 2020. In 2021 she accepted a position as an assistant teacher at Ap Ma FODE. She has been working there since that time. She has continued to upgrade her marks by working to converting her MSP degree into a grade 12 certificate. She has been instrumental in working with students who are struggling help them achieve success despite their previous learning gaps. In July of 2025 she will join all our staff as we participate in ACE teacher training for the new curriculum at Keram International Christian School.


Karie Pryor will be handling administration for the school for the first few years as we all learn together about ACE. Karie and her husband Jesse have four children the youngest Israel is still at home the three older children have returned to the USA.

Karie is from Indiana in the USA. She graduated Martinsville High School in 1995 and went on to complete an Associates degree in 1998, a Bachelors of Science in Christian Education 2001 both from Johnson Bible College (Now Johnson University). In 2013 she completed her Masters degree in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning from Oklahoma State University. She has been training teachers in Papua New Guinea and working with the Samban Central Elementary School since 2007. In addition to work with the elementary school she started the Ap Ma FODE RSC in 2016. Ap Ma FODE is a grade 7-12 school that is registered with the national department of education and has been graduating students with grade 8, 10, 12, and MSP certificates since 2016. Karie is taking the lead in registering the school with the provincial department of education and has secured registration with Southern Cross Educational Enterprises in Australia the regional ACE headquarters. In July of 2025 she will join all our staff as we participate in ACE teacher training for the new curriculum at Keram International Christian School.
