Orientation week is an exciting time. It’s a chance to meet your new classmates and learn about what is coming in the year ahead. For our new student at KICS, this week was full of firsts. They learned about PACES, how to take care of their office spaces, they tried on new uniforms, logged into the computer for the first time and got an introduction into playing guitar and a drum box. We learned that in all the things we do this year our aim will be to bring glory to God. Our theme word this year, “Glorify” was reinforced with songs and scripture memory. A short program at the end of the week showcased some of the things they learned and their smiles showed how much fun they were having.
Our students weren’t the only ones attending orientation week. Each student was represented by a parent or guardian in our parent’s orientation program. They struggled through difficult booklets to learn the 5 laws of learning, the principles of ACE and the benefits of individualized instruction. Their hard work was rewarded by a certificate presentation at the closing program.

Staff, students and parents all participated fully and the week wrapped up with some lunch and a game of volleyball for the kids. We thank all of you who participated and helped make this week so special for the kids. School starts Monday January 26th! Come ready to glorify God in all you say and do.
